  • briefing by the captain of the flight on crew coordination, duration of flight, weather conditions, emergency evacuation procedures and any particular issues relating to passengers;
  • making sure that all emergency equipment and first-aid kits are on the plane and in good working condition;
  • making sure that adequate passenger utilities like blankets, tissues, food, beverages etc. are properly stocked on the plane for a flight;
  • greet passengers as they come on board and help them with storing baggage and finding seats;
  • tell passengers about use of emergency equipment;
  • ensure that passengers use seat belts when required and stow baggage properly in overhead compartments;
  • stay calm yourself and help passengers stay calm during a flight particularly during turbulence or an emergency. Do not consider flight attendant careers if you are have a nervous nature.
  • answer questions and make passengers feel comfortable;
  • distribute reading material, pillows, blankets or whatever is required by the passengers;
  • help children, disabled or senior citizens

As a supervisor, you may need to coordinate a team also.
